Fuzzy Logic-based Estimation of Virtual Impedance Parameters for Frequency and Voltage Regulation in Islanded Microgrids abstract
This paper investigates the impact of the output impedance of distributed generations on the voltage and frequency deviations of an islanded microgrid. In this paper, a virtual output impedance is added to the primary control loop of each inverter to reduce the voltage and frequency deviations regarding the line impedance unbalances and the sharing of loads connected to microgrids. The virtual impedance is usually implemented as the time derivative of the inverter output current that makes the system highly sensitive to the output current noise and unexpected changes in load. To tune the parameters of the virtual impedance, an intelligent control approach based on fuzzy logic is presented. Simulation results depict the feasibility of the proposed fuzzy logic approach
