Study of Worldwide Progression Process and Damages of Avian Influenza from the Beginning to Now

Pathogenic agent of avian Influenza identified as Influenza virus type A of orthomixoviridea family.The aim of study is related to worldwide progression process and damages of disease in order to prevent and control of it. This research has been done by evaluation of results of 63 books and national/international articles. First, avian influenza reported in Italy (1878) and sixteen years later, another severe outbreak occurred at this country. In 1924, 1959 and 1961 years, disease had reported at New York, Scotland and South Africa, respectively. Five years later, disease has been identified at Canada and then seen at Wisconsin state of USA in 1968. Avian influenza caused 23000 death in layer flocks at Canada in 1976 and in 1983, 17 million poultry were died at USA. In 1997 and 2001 at Hong Kong, 1/3 and 1 million birds died, respectively; two years later, 36 million birds were extinct at Netherland. This disease reported in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Romania and Croatia in 2005. In 2015, USA extinct 47 million birds to fight against this disease. In 2016, six H5N1 virus had been identified which caused 720 thousands death. After that, with outbreak of disease in European countries and India, two flocks were polluted and lost near 5600 birds in Iran by H5N1 virus. In 2017, contemporary by other worldwide outbreaks, disease was recognized in more than 20 cities of Iran. Therefore, it sounds so necessary to use prevention methods of avian influenza.
