Abstract:

In this paper, a stochastic model of residential energy hubs is presented for solving the optimal scheduling problem. Also, a convenient mixed integer nonlinear programming model is proposed for the optimal 24-hour scheduling of aresidential energy hub consisting of wind turbine, a boiler, an absorption chiller, a heat pump, combined heat and power(CHP) systems, and energy storage devices. Moreover, in the presented residential energy hub system, we considered afeasible operation region for the CHP unit and the technical constraints of different equipment. The objective is tosupply the daily electrical, heating, and cooling demands of a residential building while attaining the maximum profitconsidering penalty cost for lack of supply of demands. Wind power generation and electricity price are modeled as ascenario tree using the Monte Carlo sampling method. A scenario reduction algorithm is also used to reduce thecomputational burden of the stochastic scheduling problem. Finally, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposedmodel, cold- and hot-day cases are studied using the proposed model.
