Abstract:
In recent years, researchers have tried to optimize the various processes in engineering fields. The optimization of catalytic naphtha reformers has been accomplished by means of genetic algorithm (GA) method in this contribution. This leads to improve the performance of the catalytic reforming process, effectively. Initially, the one dimensional and homogeneous mathematical model has been used to simulate the process and the numerical simulation results have been compared with the plant data. After the investigation of the validity of the model, some design parameters have been optimized applying the GA method. With optimizing these parameters, the aromatic production yield has been increased by about 25.5% in the catalytic naphtha reforming process.
