Dynamic Simulation of a 4-DOF Printer Mechanism by Adams abstract
This paper focused the dynamical analysis of a novel linearly actuated 4-dof parallel kinematic printer, composing 3 translational and 1 rotational motion abilities. For this purpose, first, printer mechanism is modeled in solid works CAD software. Then, by importing model into ADAMS analysis software, dynamics of the mechanism is analyzed. Afterwards a Simulated dynamic model of the presented mechanism is developed and for a specified trajectory of the moving platform, the applied forces are determined via two methods in defining links as rigid and flexible bars. The results showed that the two rigid and flexible links models have significant difference with together and simplification is not allowed.
