Abstract:
Stationary weighing stations (weighbridge) have separate levels alongside high ways, where trucks stop and weigh. Weigh in motion systems provide an alternative to fixed weighing stations because they are able to estimate the truck s load in motion and do not disturb traffic flow. However, the new technologies of WIM systems are either extremely costly or insufficiently precise. In this paper, a low-cost weighing system is proposed in a move that uses micro-electro-mechanical systems accelerometer. This system estimates the dynamic load of a moving truck using short vibrations of the pavement. In this research, the method of study in the previous literature is used to achieve the desired goal.
