Abstract:
In this paper, the dynamic performance of grid-connected power electronic interfaced distributed generations, during a fault at network, is investigated. In addition, the transient stability of power system with a high penetration level of power electronic interfaced distributed generations is explored. Power electronic interfaced distributed generations are modeled as a three phase fullbridge IGBT voltage source inverter (VSI). For detailed investigation, current controller, active and reactive power controller and voltage-frequency controller are designed and implemented on the inverters. The dynamic performance of inverters and their impacts on power system transient stability are separately investigated for each control modes.
