Abstract:

In this paper, the investigate vibrations of a nonrotating and rotating tire at constant speed without slipping in the contact area with differential transform method (DTM). A previously proposed analytical model of a reinforced tire is considered. The surface of the tire is represented by flexible tread, combined with parts of two sidewalls of the tire. The contact between the wheel and the ground plane occurs by the part of the tread. The natural frequencies and mode shapes are determined analytically for unloaded tire. The results were for the non-rotating tire compared with experiments in other articles. Then the effect of the tire angular velocity on its natural frequencies is investigated. In the case of rotating tire, the increasing of the angular velocity of rotation implies that natural frequencies decrease
