The effect of perfectionism, personality traits, and competitive intelligence on strategic thinking of senior managers of Guilan province industries abstract

Perfectionism could be defined as the high standards of performance and the personality is the unique aspect of human which differentiate him from others. Competitive intelligence is the art of finding, accumulating, processing and storing the information in order to be available for personnel in all levels of a frim and also the strategic thinking is the basis of firm’s perspective. Concerning the above- mentioned cases this study aimed to investigate the effects of perfectionism, personality traits and competitive intelligence on the strategic thinking of a sample consists of 162 senior managers of Guilan province industries. The methodology of the research is field survey and by means of questionnaire distribution. Finally, the obtained results of regression analysis by Smart PLS software indicated that the independent variables can predict the dependent variables. Therefore, the main hypothesis of this research is confirmed and it could be said that perfectionism, personality traits, and competitive intelligence affect the strategic thinking of senior managers. Then by considering the obtained results, the researcher presents some suggestions.
