The Relationship between Students’ Academic Satisfaction and Their Perception of Educational Climate Desirability abstract
This study aimed to predict students’ academic satisfaction based on their perception of educational climate desirability in Shiraz Payame Noor University. Research instruments included Roff et al’s educational climate questionnaire (1997) and Torkzadeh and Mohtaram’s academic satisfaction scale (2012) which are distributed and collected after calculating the reliability and validity of the scales. In order to reach this aim, 300 students of human science department in Payame Noor University were selected as samples by simple random sampling method. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Results showed structural equation model revealed that students’ perception of educational climate desirability is a significant predictor of students’ academic satisfaction. In addition, the study demonstrated that students’ perception of the desirability of educational climate dimensions and students’ academic satisfaction are at the average level.
