Abstract:
Greenhouse gas emission in transport sector is a major problem with its harmful effects on environment and population. This paper proposes to devise green routing solution for Mobile Advertisement Vehicle (MAV). The objective of the problem is to minimize route cost and carbonemission under time dependent speed constraint. The problem is modeled with hierarchical optimization and is solved in stages. This paper also highlights the idling emission estimation and its impact on the total emission. The problem is solved using Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization (HPSO) and the minimum cost routes obtained are improved using local exchange operator to minimize emission. Themodel is tested on a case study of mobile advertisement vehicle which produces minimum emission routes.
