Investigation of mono layer graphene optical conductivity in tera hertz regime at room temperature and different scattering rates, and Fermi energies abstract
Graphene is one layer graphite with honey comb structure. The valance and conduction bands contact each other at Dirac point in first Brillouine zone. In this paper we have calculated the magnitude of mono layer graphene’s optical conductivity in Tera-Hertz regime and then plotted as a function of frequency. In this regime, intra-band and inter-band transitions are dominated and negligible respectively. Results show that changing scattering rate and Fermi energy, affect optical conductivity. For instance, increasing scattering rate, the optical conductivity decreases considerably in law frequencies region
