Abstract:

The optical conductivity is one of the optical properties of graphene, which is due to intra- and inter- bands transitions. In this paper using Boltzmann equation the complex form of mono-layer graphene’s optical conductivity is calculated at Tera-Hertz regime. Then imaginary and real parts of optical conductivity are plotted as a function of frequency in different scattering rates, Fermi energies, and temperatures. We find that at the absence of scattering rate, the optical conductivity only includes imaginary part. Results show that changing scattering rate, Fermi energy, and temperature, sensitively affects mono-layer graphene’s optical-conductivity, which discussed in results section of this paper. The contact points of real and imaginary parts of optical conductivity shifts to high frequencies region, and the magnitude of scattering rate is determined by frequency of real and imaginary parts contact point.
