The Frontiers of Galaxy Formation & Evolution

Over the last decade, we have witnessed enormous progress in the ability to understand the formation and evolution of galaxies. However, there are many open questions still remaining on all aspects of the galaxy formation and evolution. More work needs to be done in order to link between observed properties of galaxies and their underlying physics. I will briefly introduce some of the important current questions on galaxy formation and evolution. And will talk about upcoming opportunities to resolve differernt aspects of these questions.
