Investigation of different solvents on the reaction of Tetrahydrobenzo [α] Xanthene-11-One in the presence of Fe3O4 / SiO2 / H2SO4 nanocatalysts abstract

A new and efficient method for the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[a] xanthene-11-ones in solvent-free conditions and in the presence of Fe3O4/SiO2/ H2SO4 magnetic nanoparticles that are used as support for solid acid. Fe3O4/SiO2 nanoparticles containing sulfuric acid are easily improved by using an external magnet and can be used several times without loss of reusable reactivity. The Fe3O4 / SiO2 / H2SO4 MNPs were thoroughly characterized by using FE-SEM, FT-IR . The low cost, ease of preparation and recyclability are the main superiorities of this solid acid catalyst.
