The importance of simulation training abstract

Background and Objective : With the spread of information technology and the penetration of collective communication devices into the depths of society, the tools and methods of education have also evolved, as technology has progressed with the use of more recent tools for knowledge transfer. One of the new methods is to train skills by simulated systems.Search Method : This integrated review study was conducted with extensive search using the key words in the Medline, Pubmed, SID, Magiran,Google Scholar databases. total of 30 articles published between 1990 and 2019 on the subject were studied based on the content analysis process.Findings : Simulation, as a teaching method, is one of the activities that mimics a real clinical environment. Advances in nursing and medical education have led traditional methods to advanced education to become clinically practiced in a safe environment. In health education, simulation has become increasingly popular over the last few years and is a useful way to improve experiential learning space and simulation development as an educational tool for health care. Several studies have reported on the effectiveness of simulation-based clinical skills training to improve performance, knowledge and improve critical thinking, self-esteem. Providing a simulated Clinical environment is the best way to prevent medical errors and to control any damage to the patient. One of the reasons for using the simulation technique is that there may be deficiency of a clinical environment that will provide less opportunities for learning clinical skills Provide. Conclusion : Educational technology aims to facilitate learning and improve performance. In this regard, educational simulations can serve as a technique or medium for achieving this goal.
