Software Defined Networking (SDN) Security Analysis abstract

Today, Internet has created a digital community. So that everything is interconnected and everything can be accessed from anywhere. Despite the widespread popularity of the Internet, traditional IP networks are complex and difficult to manage. For example, it is difficult to configure the network according to predefined policies, and it is also difficult to reconfigure it due to response to network failure or change in load. Today s networks are vertically integrated, in other words, Data plane and Control Plane are not separated. Software Defined Networking is a new network architecture that promises to break today s networking communities and separate Data plane and Control Plane. In other words, it separates network control logic from fundamental routers and switches, and centralizes network control logically and provides network programming capability (Planning). Software Defined Networking facilitates the construction and introduction of network abstractions thereby simplifying network management and providing the conditions for network transformation. In this study, we thoroughly investigate software defined networking. In section 3, we will discuss the challenges of software defined networking and proposed solutions. In section 4, we introduce stride method for analyzing and evaluating SDN security. In section 5 the features of OpenFlow 1.0 is introduced and section 6 is about simulation.
