Abstract:
Islam imposes no restrictions on research activity in new aspect of natural sciences such genetic engineering and cloning. Islam considers it a religious duty and encourages it as s means of understanding God’s traditions in His creation. However , islam advocates that the doors of scientific study should not be left wide open for her application of the results of research in the public domain without paper examination by shari’ah experts. Shari’an (Islamic laws) believe that not everything that is practicable is necessarily application. But there is a general role for application of any scientific finding which is should be free of any harmful effects on life (as a general term) and in accordance with the rules of Shari’an. Since some of the untoward effects do not become apparent until some time later, it is important to given full consideration and adequate time to the issues involved and takes all possible precautions. Islam shares in some foundational valued with Christianity. Then it is important that bioethic experts of these monotheristic religions converse about bioethics and its complivations.
