Abstract:

Nowadays, it is clear that our life is highly affected by information technology. Language instruction that integrates technology has become popular and has had remarkable impact on language learning (Mousavi & Mahdavi 2014). This study aims to explore the use of technology and the attitudes towards technology among college students who study English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The participants of this study were eighty students from Ayandegan University of Tonekabon, Iran. All of them were Iranian and they were L1 speakers of Persian. This study used survey method to discover students attitudes towards technology in the ESL classroom. This study employed a 13-item questionnaire to collect the data. In this study, quantitative data were obtained through student’s questionnaires. Data collection procedures were obtained between June and July 2016. The findings revealed that the participating students had positive attitudes towards using technology in English classes. In addition, they believed that they would learn better when they use technology in their classes.
