Abstract:

The present study was conducted to find out the inter relationship among job satisfaction, job performance and organizational commitment. In order to collect data, 60 junior high school teachers’ were invited to participate in the study. All of the participants completed at least their B.A degrees in Farhangiyan Universities around Iran. Three questionnaires, namely, Job Satisfaction Questionnaire, a 36 item questionnaire developed by Spector (1985), Job Performance Questionnaire developed by Hersey and Goldsmith (1980) with 26 questions, and finally Organizational Commitment Questionnaire developed by Katz and Khan (1978) with 18 items have been used. The data have been analyzed using descriptive, i.e. mean, frequency, standard deviation, etc. and inferential statistics, KS test and Spearman Correlation Coefficient using SPSS version 22. The results illustrated no significant relationship between the aforementioned variables. Moreover, the results of the regression analysis showed that teachers’ job performance could not be predicted based on their job satisfaction and job commitment. The present results carry a number of implications for policymakers, administrators, and teachers.
