Abstract:

Memoir is powerful genre as it is a real story about a real life. In a society where ‘keepface’, ‘protect appearance’ and many more cultural proverbs are preventive force on theway of modest female memoirists, it is crucial to consider the literary works not only by itscontent but also by its mode of representation. This mode assists the writer to successfully assertherself and unveils her voice at least to some extent. In this regard, to either align to the sociallyaccepted movement of the time or invent and create new modes of narrative can be promising.
