Abstract:

In this paper, based on the recursive equations and renewal reward process, an integrated model for maintenance planning and statistical process control is developed for a production system. Two types of inspection policy are conducted in this system and performance of these two policies are compared with each other. The first inspection policy conducts monitoring on the system at the equal-distance times interval. The second inspection policy is called constant hazard policy and conducts system monitoring such that the probability of quality shift remains constant ,in each inspection interval, given that at the start of that interval the process still operates in the in - control state. The result of the illustrative example indicates that constant hazard policy leads to the better performance of the system.
