Abstract:

A pantograph is a foldable structure which consists of scissor link units. A unit consists oftwo bars elements which are capable of rotating about their intermediate pivot node. Thepantographic structures are generally utilized in flat, cylindrical, and spherical deployablestructure and it not used in anticlastic structure like hyperbolic parabolic (HP) structure.The HP surface may form when a convex parabolic goes on the length of concave oneswith the same curvature. On the other hands, the hyperbolic surface can be constructedusing two families of mutually skew lines in which the lines in each family are parallel toa common plane, but not to each other. In this paper, the creation of HP surface withpantographic structure is presented. The creating a HP pantographic structure isdemonstrated in three methods including: a) two border scissors; b) four border scissors;c) All-scissor HP Pantographic Structures.
