Abstract:

Background and Aim: Since mental discomfort usually occurs throughout life, it can be said that the creation and maintenance of spiritual well-being plays a vital role in adapting to the pressures. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between spiritual well-being and mental health among students. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive-correlational study, 400 students of Islamic Azad University of Kish (177 males and 223 females) with an average of A relative stratified random sample was selected from different faculties and responded to the age-appropriate spiritual well-being scale. Data analysis was done using stepwise regression analysis and ANOVA of the general health questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using SPSS22 software. Out of 400 distributed questionnaires, 396 subjects were completed and 4 were incomplete and excluded from the analysis process. The mean age of subjects was 23.4 ± 18.22 years, female subjects were 22.06 ± 41.77 years, with a mean age of 7.4 ± 7.7 years and a mean age of 57 were between 18 and 41 years old. . Mean variables of mental health and spiritual well-being were 50 and 89, respectively. Also, the mean scores of spiritual well-being of boys were 88 and the average spiritual well-being of girls was 89, and the mean of mental health scores of boys was 50 and the mean of girls mental health was 54. There was a significant correlation between spiritual well-being and mental health (p<0.01) and r = 0.55). The correlation of spiritual well-being with the scores of four subscales of mental health is also significant. The highest and P <0.01) and (r = 0.48) correlation of spiritual well-being with anxiety and its least correlation with physical symptoms (p <0.01, r = -0.40). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, there was a significant relationship between spiritual well-being and There is a relationship between mental health of students.
