Abstract:
Ni-supported MCM-41 catalyst was prepared with the aim to study the effect of temperature on the catalyst performance in the benzene selective hydrogenation reaction. The catalyst was characterized by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and N2 physisorption. The Ni/MCM-41 catalyst exhibited the good catalytic behavior. The results show that although the catalytic behavior of Ni/MCM-41 is good for aromatics hydrogenation, it is not selective for benzene reduction and needs to be further refined.
