Abstract:

In this research, ZnS/Fe3O4 magnetic nanocomposites were synthesized and characterized. At the First Fe3O4 nanoparticles were synthesized by the solvothermal method and ZnS nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical precipitation method, then mixed them together. The nanoparticles were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, SEM, EDX and VSM analysis. The IR spectra results showed stretching vibration band at 575cm-1 which is corresponded to Fe-O. XRD pattern showed the highly crystallized cubic Fe3O4. SEM images showed the spherical nanoparticles with average size about 55nm and the presence of elements proved by EDX results. VSM results showed superparamagnetic property and saturation magnetization value of ZnS/Fe3O4 is 34emu/g. The ZnS/Fe3O4 paraffin composite exhibit good electromagnetic wave absorption properties in the frequency range of 8-12 GHz, a minimum reflection loss value of -2.6dB was observed at 12 GHz with a thickness of 1mm.Therefore ZnS/Fe3O4 nanocomposites could be used as a candidate in electromagnetic wave absorption area.
