Abstract:

Nowadays, energy is one of the most expensive factors in the country s industry. It is possible to optimize energyconsumption by increasing efficiency of industrial equipment such as furnaces, boilers and etc. By decreasingsedimentation. One of the most important modern cleaning methods is acoustic cleaning method which compared toother methods has more merits and advantages. One of the most important reasons of the break down and failure ofsonic soot blowers is fracture and early failure of the diaphragms. Earlier in a research by the NRI, the diaphragmsused to begin to crash quickly. Based upon the failure analysis by SEM, it is suggested to design a gap between thediaphragm and the chamber in order to solve this problem. The obtained stress distribution from FEM software isapplied to lifetime using fatigue S-N diagram and equations. The result of different gaps could help us to have the bestdesign which will be used to manufacture a laboratory sonic soot blower.
