Single-Phase Induction Motor Drive using Trans-Z-source Inverter abstract
The variable speed single-phase drive afflicts the maximum output voltage by utilizing conventional inverters implemented to an electrical motor. This paper expands the application of Trans-z-source inverter to drive a single-phase induction motor. The original Z-source inverter consists of an impedance network of two inductors and two capacitors joined in unique alignment. It has buck and boost function and overcomes the limitations and problems of conventional inverters. Also, the proposed trans-z-source has these abilities and owns some more benefits, such as increased voltage gain and decreased voltage stress of switches. Simple boost control is used for adjusting the output voltage of the inverter. The results show that the performance of single-phase induction motor by using trans-z-source inverter such as torque and speed and so on. The results provided by using Matlab/ Simulink to approve the analysis.
