Abstract:

The present article reports developing efficient applications of modified magnesium oxide nanoparticle in oil and gas industry . Magnesium oxides are used in variety of industrial applications , such as heat -resistant and high -temperature insulating materials and as oil additives. recently it was repoted that MgO nanoparticles possess good antifouling and anticorrosion additive properties in heavy oils because of vanadium deposition reduction , solving of SO3 problems via reactign with the vanadates and sulfates to form high melting sodium magnesium vanadates and reducing production acid sulfuric respectively. furthermore, oil-soluble modified Mgo nanoparticles have high oil dispersion ability and large specific surface area that cause development of additives and their applications which increase the quality of products and are industrially cost effective. modifies MgO nanoparticels have exhibited high activity for the cleaning of fuel - oil pipelines , avoidance of fouling formation in tanks and protection of boilers against corrosion , thereby increasing these systems lifetimes.
