Abstract:

The most abundant of crude oil metal impurities are nickel and vanadium . They are often in the form of organometallic compounds such as porphyrins. The presence of these metals seriously inhibits the processing of oil because of catalytic poisoning and corrosion for this reason metals are removed from oil before refining process. this is usually carried out via thermal or catalytic hydro treatment known as hydrodemetallization HDM. the HDM elicits undesirable effects on fuel quality or other chemical components at high temperature and pressure . biodemetallization offers the potential technique for a more selective and cost effective method for lowering the metal content of petroleum products strain RIPI01 as a biocatalyst has been isolated from oil contaminated soil in the previous research. it was selected for its ability to degrade tetra - phenyl 1 porphyrin vanadium oxide , as the model compound. at first , the growth kinematic was determined in the model mentioned. atfer that its kinetic parameters in biphasic medium gas oil- aqueous were considered as well.
