This experiment was conducted to evaluation of forage sorghum elit lines and selection of tolerant lines in laboratory and field condition. Salinity levels in laboratory and germination experiment were 0 , 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 and 25 dS/m with ratio of 2NaCl : 1CaC2 in randomized compelete block as factorial design with three replications. The measured chracteristics were germination percent(GP), radicle lengthe(RL) and coloeptyle lengthe(CL). Then salinity threshold value at germination phase(Ct) and salinity of 50 percent decreasing in germination(C50) parameters calculated by two linear and logaritmic equations respectively. Resultes in germination experiment showed that, the effects of salinity , line and salinityاline was significant at 1% level of probability on all of measured caracteristices. The highest GP observed in 0 and 5dS/m of salinities with 83.9 and 81.0 percent with no significant differences, respectively and then other salinity treatments ordered in different statistical groups from one to another. The highest RL observed in control and decreased significantly by increasing in each level of salinity treatment, but CL decreased significantly after exposed to 5 dS/m. There was observed very significant differences among lines in GP , Ct, C50 and other characteristics. In this experiment, the Ct was 3.39 dS/m with slope of 2.33% without considering of lines of variety and the C50 obtained 24.9 dS/m. The highest GP observed in Sugargraze, PasificBMR and Chapper among hybrid varieties and was highest in KFS2, KFS1, KFS10 and KFS9 among lines. The longest RL observed in KFS2 and Chapper, and the longest CL observed in KFS3 and Sugargraze. The highest germination rate obtained in KFS2 with 34.7 percent/day and Pasific BMR ordered in next with 30.8 percent/day. All of lines and hybrids planted and evaluated in Sadoque Research Farm with 2 and 11 dS/m of irrigation waters and in Agricuktural and Natural Resource Research Center of Yazd with 5dS/m of irrigation water. The data analyaed by Augment statistical methoud, at first analysis of variance fulfilled on control lines and then the yields of other lines and varieties corrected by incomplete block effect and then best lines selected on LSD comparing test at 5% level of probability in saline and nonsaline conditions. SSI and STI and other indices calculated based on yields in saline and nonsaline conditions. In this way, results showed that KFS3 and control lines were suitable based on yield and yield sustainable in different conditions rather than others, ralatively. The lines of KFS4, KFS9, KFS10 and KFS11 produced suitable yields in saline condition and had suitable STI. Jumbo variety had suitable STI and highest yield among hybrids and then Speedfeed and Nectar had good conditions.
