Study of adaptability and comparison of quantity and quality traits of imported pear cultivars in West Azarbaijan climatic conditions abstract
The research was conducted in order to study of adaptation 11 pear cultivars include Abate fetel,ButirraHardy,DecandelComizio,Mellina, Nart, Conference, Kaiser,Packham's Triumph,William, William Rosso,General Leclerc and Shah Miveh and Sardrodi as control these pears in West Azarbaijan climatic conditions. The experiment was carried out at randomized complete block with 3 replications during 4 yearsin kahriz station. Combined analysis of variance revealed significant difference (P≤0.01) amonggenotypes for all the experimental characters. Shah Miveh cultivar with 2.72 kg/tree and Mellina with 7.66 kg/tree had lowest and highest yield. Correlation analysis revealed significant positive yieldwith number of fruit per tree and with increase of number of fruit per tree, yield increased. The cluster analysis placed genotypes into four groups. Group I contained Conference, Kaiser,William, William Rosso,General Leclerc,ButirraHardy and Shah Miveh, group II Abate fetel,Mellina, group III Nart and group IVDecandel Comizio, Packham's Triumph and Sardrodi cultivars. In conclusion, Abate fetel,Packham's Triumph,DecandelComizioandMellinacultivarsdue to good marketing and a high yield, had advantage than other cultivars.Key words: Pear, reproductive traits, correlation, cluster analysis
