Adaptation of some low chill peach and nectarine and 4 apricot Cultivarsunder Iran environmental conditions

Planting low chill cultivars in warm climate is one of early ripening production methods in the world. Undersetting chilling requirement is necessary for identify suitable cultivating areas. In this project we studied 18 different chill requirement peach and nectarine and 714, 717, 511, 48 and Vitillo apricot genotype and cultivars. After importing plant material to my institute (2013-1014). They were quarantined for one year, also during this time chilling requirement of them and some local genotype was studied the cultivars included.Shoot with some diameter and length kept for forcing in green house phonologic changes of buds were studied seven times during October till February. We used different models for studying chilling requirement. Chilling requirement completed when %50 of buds opened in forcing condition. Result showed all of the used models 714 genotype had minimum and Caldessi2000 cultivar had maximum chilling requirement. Genotype 714 had minimum G.D.D and Penta had the maximum. All of the plant material chilling requirement was achieved with this protocol. After first test for achieving the best protocol all the cultivars propagated in the nursery, then they were planted in Alborz(Karaj), Golestan(Gorgan), (Dezfol) provinces. Results showed all the cultivars had significant different in all the studied characteristics.
