Abstract:
Increasing in salinity tolerance threshold of a crop is a important trait to inhibition of yield reduction in saline land. One approach is selection of appropriate cultivars with higher salinity tolerance. The objective of this plan was the screening of salt tolerance cultivars. Segregating traits in different hybridization beginning of F2 and continue for some generation. By this plan 232 barley line and cultivars received by Karaj evaluated at field experiment under salinity conditions. The method of selection in research for generations F2 and F3 was modified balk and F4 was pedigree. The select population of generation for continue experiments. Population of F2=92, F4=68, F5=43, and F6=29. Seed planting at Ec=10.64 ds.m-1 in salin condition. lines and cultivars were cultivated in 10 lines by 6m length and 30 cm inter row. Some traits inclouding: desired agronomic performance with tolerance/resistance to salin condition, resistance to faliar diseases (Helminthosporium), percentage of loding, days to maturity, cold tolerance, tillering, plant height and stem power were recorded. 92 lines were selected for F3, 68 lines were selected for F5 and 276 lines were selected for PRWY test.
