Abstract:
Today, the automotive industry has received numerous proposals from designers and engineers for reducing engine fuel consumption and pollution while improving efficiency, including Variable Compression Ratio. Variable compression ratio engines can change the compression ratio in accordance with the engine’s operational conditions. The advantages of using a VCR system include increased power, reduced fuel consumption, increased engine efficiency, preventing detonation, and reducing pollutant gases. This article will propose and evaluate the use of variable compression ratio in engines that lack this system.
