A Riview on Rock Wettability

Wettability is defined as the tendency of one fluid tospread on or adhere to a solid surface in the presence of otherimmiscible fluids. The purposes of this study are wettabilityinvestigation, importance of wettability and contact angle concept.Reservoir rocks may have, uniform (water/oil wet), heterogeneous(mixed/fractional) wettability or combination of them. Mixed wetand water-wet formations have the greater oil recovery, especiallyby water flooding (secondary oil recovery process). So rockwettability is an effective factor on oil recovery and dominant forcesact in the reservoir.
