Today‘s globalized nature of competitiveness isplacing more pressure on oil and gas organizations to employeffective leaders who are capable to develop knowledge-basedorganizations. There are many academic studies that focus on theorganizational and managerial factors that drive organizationalcompetitiveness. Technology such area that plays a critical role andis strategic prerequisites for business success in today’s knowledgebasedeconomy. In this article, we place a new emphasis on thisorganizational factor, and present an effective model forimplementing knowledge management on in oil and gasorganizations, not only because of the transformative nature of themodel, but also, because of its ease of implementation by managersat all levels of these organizations. This model is an ideal model inenabling oil and gas organizations to build knowledge-basedorganizations that can create and implement innovations timely asthey operate and compete in the industry.
