Abstract:
Eccentrically braced framing have been gaining acceptance in seismic application because this system can provide both high elastic stiffness and large energy dissipation capacity . The performance of an eccentrically braced frame depends on the behavioir of short beamsegment called active link active links transfer the axial force in the diagnal braces to the other braces or to columns through bending and shear.
