Abstract:

In asymmetric synthesis, the aldol reaction is one of the most well-known organic reactions for the creation of carbon-carbon bonds and the formation ofβ-hydroxy carbonyl derivatives. Nanoparticles are an excellent candidate for the position of the catalyst as the interaction between the reactant and the catalyst isincreased and can be said to show a similar feature to heterogeneous catalysts. The synthesis of nickel oxide nanoparticles by sol-gel method is easy and effective, which has been reported as a heterogeneous catalyst with high activity and recyclable at room temperature. The fabricated nanocatalyst was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) analysis, scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). In this study, aldol density was determined in the presence of nickel oxide nanocatalyst in water at room temperature. The advantages of this productivity method are simple reaction performance, no need for purification methods, green, easyprocessing, small amount of catalyst used, easy recycling of the catalyst, no use of organic solvents and also reaction time is relatively shorter.
