A brief overview of Routing Problem abstract
Routing on the Internet plays a vital role in supporting messages from one computer to another and thus reaching a destination. Each of the intermediate computers performs routing. This method involves analyzing the routing table to find the best route. Routing is moving information across an internetwork from source to destination. Along the way, at least one intermediate node is typically encountered. Routing is often contrasted with bridging which seems to accomplish precisely the same thing. Routing creates a complex analysis to determine the appropriate path for the packet. Routing involves two basic activities: determination of optimal routing paths and the transport of information groups (typically called packets) through an internetwork. In this article, we give a brief overview of routing concepts.
