GREY FUZZY MODEL FOR EARTHQUAKE PREDICTION abstract

In this paper, grey fuzzy model for earthquake prediction has been established based on the model GM ( 1.1 ) of grey system theory and by combining the expres-sing way of fuzzy mathematics with grey catastrophic prediction, thus, providing a new method for practical earthquake prediction. New results and prediction opinions for various kinds of prediction schemes are also given, the results of which are superior to those of the existing methods. Finally, the presented grey fuzzy model may be in principle applied to the prediction of other natural di-sasters, such as flood, storm etc
