DYNAMIC BEHAVIOUR OF INTERFACE BETWEEN SOIL AND SUB-STRUCTURE AND ITS EFFECTS ON RESPONSES OF SUPER-STRUCTURE

During recent decades, scholars has put the emphasis on the study of non-linear seismic responses of soil-structure systems. The investigated system can be divided into the inner region and outer region. The former shows non-linear behaviour and consists of the structure, the underlying soil that is near the foundation of the structure and the contact surface between the structure and the soil. The latter is the outside of the inner region and is considered to be linear to infinity[۱].
