ARCHITECTURAL ENHANCEMENT AND STRUCTURAL REINFORCEMENT OF VERNACULAR BUILDINGS OF THE NORTHERN IRANIAN VILLAGES

This paper 'will analyze the vernacular architecture and its structural integrity in the Caspian Sea region. Specifically, it will study the geographic and climatic conditions, local building materials, and various characteristics of traditional dwellings of the region ranging from physical layout to structural details and construction techniques. The paper will also provide suggestions for improvement in design and construction of rural dwellings in order to enhance their structural strength while maintaning their traditional properties.
