a new tree decomposition method for color images

two decades ago quad-tree decomposition was proposed as a fast tool for decomposing an image into a set of homogenous rectangular regions since then many researchers have tried to generalize the method to enhance the results in thid paper a new tree decomposition method is proposed which uses the rectangular regions in a more adaptive way this paper gives a comprehensive performance comparsison between the quad-tree and the new proposed bi-tree decomposition methods.
