Abstract:
Background and objective: teachers are an indispensable part of the teaching-learning process who play a pivotal role in stimulating learner motivation as an important psychological factor. This research was an attempt to investigate the effect of teachers and teaching competencies on learner motivation in the teaching process.Method: documentary research method and Altheide's strategy-based content analysis and a likert-type scale, data were collected from ۹۰ sutudents from various universities and language institutes and were analyzed using t-test in SPSS.Findings and Conclusion: Continuous data analysis led to the identification and representation of one factor (teachers), ۶ criteria (e-learning competencies, professional competencies, research competencies, ethical competencies, behavioral competencies and assessment competencies) and ۴۷ indicators of successful teachers competencies that in Finally, after conducting research and fieldwork, it was found that the level of attention to the competencies that affect the motivation of learners, in three competencies is at an undesirable level and in the other three competencies is at a relatively desirable level. In general, the level of teachers' attention to the effective competencies of motivating learners was at a relatively desirable level
