Abstract:

The results of vibration test carried out on a medium-rise concrete building are used in conjunction with a standard structure analysis computer program to identify the stiffness characteristics of the building. The effect of incorrect analytical modeling is then considered by comparison of analytical and experimental results. it is shown that the actions of partitions and shear walls can significantly changes the mode shape and frequency and ultimately changes the loads carried by individual members
