Dynamics of sustainability indicators in ecotourism using innovation led-lean approaches abstract
The growing attention of global societies to the dimensions of sustainability in various industries has led different countries to try to achieve this by using different methods. The development of sustainable systems in manufacturing industries, including supply chain, has led spread of this concept in service industries such as ecotourism. One of the concepts that has been considered by researchers to achieve sustainability is innovation led-lean approaches and given the importance of the ecotourism industries, the influence of innovation led-lean approaches to sustainability indicators has not yet been explored. Given that the influence of innovation led-lean approaches can change over time, the system dynamics is a suitable tool for studying this concept. In this paper, the views of experts on the influence of innovation led-lean approaches are extracted according to the indicators of sustainability in the ecotourism industries. Then, Fuzzy TOPSIS approaches was used to prioritize innovation led-lean approaches and first four approaches were titled “Innovation in service process” and “Customers awareness of sustainable development” and “Learning culture” and “Communication and cooperation between stakeholders” is placed in system dynamics to explore their influence on sustainability in the ecotourism industry over time.
