Dermatological Manifestations Registry During the COVID-۱۹ Pandemic

Abstract:

The emerging Covid-۱۹ virus from SARS-CoV-۲ virus was first reported in Wuhan, China, and has affected health systems around the world. The disease has a variety of clinical symptoms; One of the most common is dermatological manifestations, which affect up to ۲۰% of patients with Covid-۱۹. The aim of this study was to review the existing registers in the field of dermatological manifestations of patients with Covid ۱۹. This study was based on a systematic review of previous evidence and similar studies in the field of registry of dermatological manifestations caused by Covid ۱۹. Therefore, a systematic review of studies, by searching for related keywords in three categories of words related to Covid ۱۹, registry and skin demonstrations in the title, abstract and keywords of studies in the valid scientific databases Embase, Web of Science, Scopus and PubMed on November ۲۴, ۲۰۲۱. The results of the study showed that the five most common skin lesions observed in patients with Covid-۱۹ include chilblin-like lesions, macules, papules, urticaria and vesicles. Despite the fact that more than a year has passed since the beginning of the pandemic, the pathophysiology, prognosis and prevalence of skin lesions are not clear, and this has made it difficult to assess the performance of the health system and to make decisions and policies in this area. Given the importance of data collection in epidemics and the lack of a similar registry in Iran, recording dermatological manifestations of patients with Covid-۱۹ in the form of a registry by providing valuable epidemiological data, in addition to providing a basis for solving these management problems, to research Diagnostic and therapeutic and quality assurance services provided by health organizations also help.
