Water Pollution Modeling Using Neural Networks abstract
Because of its vital role in supplying a healthy life for people, water purification is one of the most important tasks to be done. Having agood model for pollution control of drinking water resources can help us to do this job well. In this paper, Neural Network (NN) as a powerful newtechnology has been employed to model NO3 - as a pollution indicator of outlet water from Doroodzan Dam, Shiraz, Iran knowing inflow watercharacteristic. Also a combination of some correlation analyses and NN methods have been employed to demonstrate which pollution indicators in the inflow water are the most effective ones on change of NO3 -across the large reservoir of the dam.
