Abstract:
The main goal of this study is to obtain the natural frequencies of perforated beam with different boundary conditions using the finite element solution via Abaqus software and then the effect of the number of holes is investigated and the vibration of mode shapes are drawn by the Abaqus software. To show the accuracy of the results, the numerical consequences are compared with the analytical solution. The result shows that for all three boundary conditions of the cantilever, fixed ends, and simply supported, the natural frequencies of the perforated beam are lower than that of the solid beam. The research result shows that with the increase in the number of holes, the natural frequencies of the perforated beam have decreased for all three different boundary conditions. Also, the results of the research show that increasing the number of holes in the boundary condition of the cantilever causes a greater decrease in natural frequencies compared to the other two boundary conditions, and for all three boundary conditions, increasing the number of holes has a greater effect on the natural frequency of the lower modes.
